7/17/2023 0 Comments Ptgui pro v7.0PTGui is a powerful and intuitive macOS application that provides the required tools to create high quality panoramas using a large number of pictures. But the difference is small and this can be compensated for by a small adjustment of the curve in the Post Processing tab. PTGui Pro 12 is unaffected by this, it will produce the same results regardless of the source images' ICC profile. Subtle differences between version 11 and 12 may remain, due to the fact that PTGui 11 was not color managed: the exposure fused results in PTGui Pro 11 would depend on the color space (in particular, the gamma curve) of the source images. To fix this, the exposure fusion algorithm from PTGui Pro 11 has been backported to PTGui Pro 12. But users reported they were not able to get the same results as in PTGui Pro 11 and we agree that the results in PTGui Pro 12 were indeed inferior. This also changed the exposure fusion process. In PTGui 12 the stitching pipeline was changed in order to support new HDR functionality and color management.Based on feedback from users, the exposure fusion algorithm is reverted to the algorithm that was used in PTGui Pro 11.If panorama photography is your thing, then PTGui Pro is definitely an app to consider during project development. It offers plenty of settings in a compact and easy-to-handle package. PTGui Pro is an application that will indeed have most photo enthusiasts satisfied. If you're really advanced and want to have as much control as possible, the Pro version of the app is probably best suited to you on account of having extra features that deal with HDR stitching, vignetting, and exposure, allowing for even more adjustments to be made. Likewise, the addition of lenses or masks depends on what you want your final product to look like. For example, adding control points is not necessarily a mandatory thing to do, but the more you add, the more guidelines the app has in the stitching process. Nevertheless, it's up to each particular one to make use of their full potential. PTGui Pro offers all users the same tools. All of these become relevant as you attempt to master the art of panoramas. Afterward, proceed to tweak whatever aspects you feel need adjustment, including Lens Settings, Image Parameters, Control Points, and Exposure or HDR. If for some reason, you mess up the order, PTGui Pro will give you the chance to rearrange your selection. With that said, make sure you select the pics you want to use, keeping in mind that the order in which you place these is relevant as well. Plenty of tools and adjustmentsīefore actually creating any panoramas, you'll have to manage the source images. The interface is clean, while the settings are all placed where one would expect these to be in the first place. Indeed, you'll need to have some knowledge to be able to achieve perfection or near perfection, but this particular program puts every imaginable tool at your disposal. It's great if you want to create astounding panorama photos. While the name is a tad debatable, PTGui Pro is an application that will fascinate panorama photographers. New projects will use the PTGui 11 algorithm by default. For backwards compatibility the algorithm of PTGui Pro 12.0 to 12.20 remains available, so projects created with previous versions will still look the same.
